The Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins today for the third straight time in as many tries and for the 7th time overall this season...

They beat the Twins 4-2 behind the combined pitching efforts of Alfredo Aceves who started for an injured Wang, Dave Robertson, Jonathan Albaladejo, Phil Coke, Phil Hughes and Mariano Rivera...

The victory for the Yanks meant they swept the Twins for the season...

They had asked Aceves to give them 65 pitches and that's exactly what he gave them--however, he only lasted 3 1/3 innings. He gave up 3 earned runs on 4 hits in his 65 pitch effort...

Robertson, Albaladejo, Coke, Hughes and Mo picked up the slack...

Every Yankee hitter except Nick Swisher picked up a hit...Mark Teixeira hit a solo home run...Cody Ransom and Brett Gardner had 2 rbis apiece...

Tomorrow, the Yankees open up a 3 game series in Anaheim against the Angels...Joba Chamberlain will be on the hill...
