Yanks Edge Twins

Thursday night in Minnesota the Yankees edged out the Twins by a score of 4-3 behind the pitching of A.J. Burnett and some timely hitting...

Burnett tossed 6 innings allowing only 2 runs on 7 hits--he didn't have the best control, but toughed it out to hold off the Twins...

The victory gives the Yankees the series win...

Additional Notes:

Brett Gardner had a big 2 run single in the 2nd...in the 5th, A-Rod had a key rbi single...Jeter and Posada had 2 hits apiece...

Hughes was effective again in relief...Mo picked up yet another save--a 4 out one...

Tomorrow Alfredo Aceves takes the hill for the injured Chien-Ming Wang...
