The New York Yankees defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-2 Wednesday night in the Bronx. They did it the Bronx Bomber way--with the long ball. Johnny Damon and Melky Cabrera each hit solo shots, and the one that put the game away was delivered by Alex Rodriguez in the 6th inning--a 2 run shot...
With the victory, the Yankees take the series from the Mariners...tomorrow night they go for the sweep...
Additional Notes:
Andy Pettitte pitched a strong 7 innings, allowing only 2 earned runs on 6 hits...
Alfredo Aceves, Phil Coke and Mariano Rivera were perfect in relief...Mo picked up his 20th save of the year...
Tomorrow, CC Sabathia takes the hill...
Let's Go Yanks!!!!!
