Marniners Halt Yankees' Win Streak

The Yankees had won 7 games in a row before Thursday night's game against the Mariners. An 8-4 defeat at the hands of the Mariners put an end to the streak...

CC Sabathia was not sharp, to say the least...he lasted a mere 5 2/3 innings in which he allowed 6 earned runs on 10 hits--very unusual for the Yankee ace...

Even with the defeat, the Yankees take the series from the Mariners 2 games to 1...

Additional Notes:

Robinson Cano had 3 hits on the evening, while Hideki Matsui had a 2-run home run and a double--Matsui drove in 3 of the Yankees' 4 runs...

Tomorrow, The Yankees take on the Blue Jays in the Bronx...A.J. Burnett takes the hill...

Let's Go Yanks!!!!!
