Joba Tosses A Gem

Joba Chamberlain pitched one of the best games of his young career Wednesday night in Tampa against the Rays. He blanked them for 8 innings in leading the Yankees to a 6-2 victory...

For the Yanks it was another series win--their 4th consecutive since the All-Star break--2 games to 1...

Additional Notes:

Joba only allowed 3 hits in the game walking 2, while striking out 5--clearly an ace-like effort...

Robinson Cano, Melky Cabrera and Mark Teixeira all homered in the victory...Derek Jeter, Mark Teixeira, Hidek Matsui, and Melky Cabrera had 2 hits apiece...

Tomorrow the Yanks go to Chicago to start a 4 game series against the White Sox...Andy Pettitte will be on the hill...

Let's Go Yanks!!!!!
