Pitcher's Duel Goes To Marlins

Saturday night in Miami, A.J. Burnett pitched well for the Yankees, allowing only 1 earned run in 6 1/3 innings--good enough to win on any other night, but this one. As good as Burnett pitched, Josh Johnson matched him. He allowed only 1 earned run in 7 innings against the Yankees...

The difference in the game came down to a ball that Johnny Damon misplayed, in the 6th--that led to a 2-1 Marlins' lead--with the way Johnson was pitching, it was enough to give the Marlins the 2nd game of the 3 game series...

Additional Notes:

For the 2nd straight night, a Yankee pitcher got a base hit--tonight, A.J. Burnett got a single in his first at bat...

Phil Coke pitched a scoreless 2/3 of an inning in the 7th...Phil Hughes pitched a scoreless 8th inning...

Tomorrow, CC Sabathia takes the hill...

Let's Go Yanks!!!!!
