Yanks Pound Tribe 10-5

The Yankees pounded Indian's pitching Saturday night, to the tune of 10 runs on 13 hits, defeating the Tribe by a score of 10-5. The victory was the 2nd straight for the Yanks over the Indians...

Among the offensive highlights, Jorge Posada and Nick Swisher hit a home run each...Hideki Matsui had 3 hits, including 2 doubles...Derek Jeter and Johnny Damon had 2 RBIs apiece, and Robinson Cano knocked in 3 runs on 2 hits...

CC Sabathia turned in another quality start...he allowed only 3 runs in 7 innings of work and recorded 8 strikeouts as well...

Additional Notes:

With the victory, the Yankees have won 14 of their last 17...also, including Saturday's game, they haven't made an error in their last 16 games...

With a 1.5 game lead over Boston the Yanks are rolling! Let's hope it continues!!!!
