Yankees Put In Some Extra Effort In Toronto

What a difference a day makes. Last night Roy Halladay made it look like the Yankees left their offense back in Baltimore. Tonight, that offense came roaring back to the tune of 8 runs on 11 hits, of which 8 were for extra bases--4 doubles, 3 triples and a home run...

The "extra" effort proved too much for the Blue Jays who fell to the Yanks 8-2...

Additional Notes:

Andy Pettitte pitched well, allowing only 1 earned run over 6 innings of work...

Alfredo Aceves pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief...

Brett Gardner had a triple and a home run--the roundtripper, was the first of his major league career...

Tomorrow, CC Sabathia takes the hill as the Yankees try to win their 2nd series in a row...

Let's Go Yanks!
