Rodriguez, Hughes, Lead Yanks In Rout Of Rangers

Alex Rodriguez went 5 for 5 today as the New York Yankees beat the Texas Rangers by a score of 11 to 1. Rodriguez had 2 doubles, 3 singles and 4 rbi's on the afternoon...his 5 hits were part of a 19 hit attack by the Yanks...

The way Phil Hughes pitched, the Yankees didn't need all that offense...he tossed 8 innings of shutout ball, allowing only 3 hits and striking out 6, while walking one...an encouraging effort for Hughes against a difficult Texas offense...

A Laugher for a change...a great way to start the road trip!

Additional Notes:

Johnny Damon, Mark Teixeira, Robinson Cano and Kevin Cash all had multi-hit games...Nick Swisher had 3 rbi's...

Tomorrow Joba Chamberlain takes the hill...

Let's Go Yanks!!!!!
