Joba, Bullpen, Stumble In Yankees Loss To Rangers

Joba Chamberlain experienced 1st inning woes yet again yesterday...He surrendered 2 runs in the frame to the Texas Rangers and ultimately couldn't make it past 4 innings...

Not his best effort and unfortunately, the bullpen couldn't pick up the slack...Aceves and Coke were ineffective...Aceves and Coke combined to allow 4 runs over 3 innings...

Meanwhile the Yankee offense sputtered--the only bright spot coming in the 6th when they scored 2 runs, which, at the time, tied the score 3-3...it was short-lived as the Rangers went on to score 4 more runs and win 7-3...

Additional Notes:

Melky Cabrera injured his shoulder in the first, after crashing into the center field wall trying to make a catch...according to this story from Yankees.com he's getting an MRI...hopefully it's nothing serious...

Dave Robertson tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief...

Brett Gardner who filled in for the injured Cabrera had 3 hits and 3 stolen bases...

Tonight, A.J. Burnett takes the hill...

Let's Go Yanks!
