Twins Slip Past Yanks 6-5

Three times on Monday night the Yankees had the lead. All three times, Andy Pettitte couldn't hold it...

By the 8th, the game was tied 5-5 and Kyle Farnsworth took over for Pettitte. It didn't take long for the Twins to take a 6-5 lead...but, unlike the Yankees, they would not relinquish it...

Pettitte didn't have his best stuff...and the offense failed numerous times with runners in scoring position...and Farnsworth, well...we've seen this type of performance far too often from him since he signed with the Yankees...

Honestly, what will it take to convince Joe Girardi that he's not the answer to the 8th inning?

Additional Notes:

Alex Rodriguez had 3 hits including a 2-run hr...Derek Jeter picked up 3 hits as well-looks like the slump is officially over...

Tomorrow is the much heralded start of Joba Chamberlain at Yankee Stadium against the Toronto Blue Jays! Hopefully we get at least 5 strong innings out of him!

GO YANKS!!!!!
