Joba Struggles, Yanks Can't Solve Snell

Joba Chamberlain struggled Sunday against the Mariners, surrendering 7 runs on 6 hits in just 3 innings of work...

Meanwhile, the Yankees offense couldn't get much off of Mariners' starter Ian Snell who allowed them only 1 run in 5 1/3 innings...the Mariners' bullpen shut the door after that...

So the Yanks, with the loss, drop 2 of 3 in Seattle...

Additional Notes:

Sergio Mitre pitched 5 shutout innings in relief of Joba...

Mark Teixeira had 3 hits for the Yanks...

Tomorrow the Yanks start a 3 game series with the Angels in Anaheim...Andy Pettitte will be on the hill...

Can they win 2 out of 3 there for a change?

Let's Go Yanks!!!!!
