Sergio Mitre made his Yankee debut on Tuesday night in the Bronx, tossing 5 2/3 innings against the Orioles while allowing 4 earned runs against the Orioles. Not great by any stretch of the imagination, but since the Yankee offense provided 6 runs, it was good enough to get the win...
The victory means the Yankees take their second consecutive series since the All-Star break...a win tomorrow and they sweep!
Additional Notes:
Robinson Cano had 2 hits including a 2-run home run...Alex Rodriguez had a 2-run single....
Another good relief effort from Alfredo Aceves as he threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings, and Phi Coke who pitched a scoreless 8th...
Mo got his 27th save of the year...
Tomorrow, A.J. Burnett takes the hill...
Let's Go Yanks!!!!
