Wildness, Shoddy Defense Sink Yanks

Frustrating. That's about the best way to describe today's late afternoon game against KC. Here's why: Abreu error allowed Gordon to reach second on a single-he later scored...Betemit couldn't handle Posada's throw on Pena stolen base attempt-and they had him easy...4 walks in 3 innings by Hughes...Ohlendorf getting tattooed in the 5th...Damon's perplexing rainbow throw...had enough yet?...

we almost forgot Gathright's 4 stolen bases...

Combine all of the above with a listless offense led by A-Rod's 4 Ks and you get your final result:

Royals 5, Yankees 2.

Tomorrow we'll forget all about it when Ian Kennedy gets his first win of the year...let's just hope that Posada's and Jeter's injuries are not serious...

GO YANKS!
